333 N. Water St.

Located at 333 N. Water Street, this 31-story luxury residential tower stands as the highest new structure in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, acting as a prominent entrance to the area’s creative hub. Strategically positioned by the river and the Historic Third Ward streetcar line, the building integrates with the district’s vibrant life.

The architectural plan introduces a public gateway to the Milwaukee RiverWalk, extending the path to the intersection of St. Paul Avenue and Water Street. This extension facilitates access to the popular Milwaukee Public Market. At street level, the building boasts 10,000 square feet of commercial space, potentially housing a riverside restaurant with extensive outdoor dining.

Despite its towering presence, the tower’s design draws inspiration from the Third Ward’s architectural essence. The tower’s facade mirrors the local heritage through its use of varied brick hues, intricate metal work, and diverse scales, presenting a contemporary interpretation of the area’s history. Positioned to align with St. Paul Avenue, the building’s silhouette respects the historic skyline, presenting a mix of brick, precast concrete, metal panels, and glass in its industrial-inspired structure.

On Water Street, a seven-story parking garage is cleverly designed to blend in as a distinct edifice, easing the transition between historical and contemporary aesthetics. In the evenings, the garage’s copper-colored aluminum panels are uplit, adding vibrancy and depth to the RiverWalk scene.

The tower comprises 333 living spaces, offering a range from studio apartments to three-bedroom units and penthouses. Resident amenities, including a fitness center, co-working space, and lounge, are centrally located on the eighth floor, leading to a pool deck. This outdoor space is uniquely enhanced by lighting that accentuates the historical “Goll & Frank Co.” sign on the neighboring Renaissance Building, celebrating the rich architectural legacy of the Historic Third Ward.
