Luis has more than 20 years of experience in the industry establishing a culture founded on the principles of Safety=Success. He is responsible for the implementation of the company’s Safety & Risk programs and heads up a professional team of established site safety representatives and managers.
Under Luis’ leadership Gurtz Electric has become a training partner with bi-annual visits with the OSHA Occupational Training Institute. ‘
Over the last 10 years Gurtz Electric has also become a leading partner with many premier safety programs and societies including CCS, Avetta, ISN, ASSP and Highwire (Gold Member Status).
During Luis’s time at Gurtz Electric he has maintained close ties with many IBEW local unions, OSHA and General Contractors throughout the Midwest. One of Luis’s many achievements have all began from him starting out as a single site-safety representative for over 180 electricians on a single project to the Director of Safety.
Luis also holds a current CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) professional certification affiliated with the BCSP.
