Ewa is a seasoned finance executive with nearly 20 years of experience in the electrical industry. As Chief Financial Officer of Gurtz Electric, she oversees the Accounting and Human Resources departments and plays a key role in guiding the company’s compliance, risk assessment, financial strategy, and operational effectiveness.
Ewa’s career reflects a strong foundation in accounting operations and progressive leadership responsibility. She began her career as an Accounts Payable Clerk and advanced through roles including Payroll Administrator, Payroll and Accounts Payable Manager, and Controller before becoming CFO. This hands-on progression gives her a practical understanding of business processes, financial controls, and cross-functional collaboration.
In her current role, Ewa supports Gurtz Electric through continuous improvement, process streamlining, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence to drive efficiencies across the organization. She is a strong advocate for effective internal control management, open collaboration, and team building, with a leadership style centered on practical solutions, accountability, and sustainable growth.
Ewa earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Roosevelt University. She is a licensed CPA and holds CCIFP and CRIS certifications. She is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the Chicago Chapter of CFMA, where she also serves on the board of directors.
